Job Title:Accounting Clerk/ Student Account Analyst
Contractor Work Location: Phoenix, AZ (100% Remote)
Duration: 6+ Months
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
1. Examines, maintains, and tracks all vendor invoice documentation for compliance and accuracy with organization policies and procedures.
2. Reviews and researches problem invoices and statements, as outlined by department operating procedures, and as requested by management.
3. Consults with vendors and divisions in resolving discrepancies. Updates and maintains vendor contacts for the department.
4. Processes manual checks, as outlined by department operating procedures, and as requested by management.
5. Answers, screens, and routes department phone calls, faxes, or mail, as appropriate.
6. May prepare and process faculty pay listing on a semi-monthly basis.
7. May act as a liaison in receiving and distributing financial aid checks and/or student refund checks when necessary. This may also include communicating the status of student refund checks and financial aid checks to department personnel upon request.
8. Provides clerical and administrative support to the department staff.
9. Performs other duties as assigned or apparent.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
High school diploma or equivalent. Two years accounts payable and customer service experience preferred. Must have the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations on a ten key or calculator and navigate the appropriate systems to retrieve or research information as described above. Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks in a timely and effective manner. Must have sufficient oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills to communicate general accounting information to internal and external customers.
