Wiss, Janney, Elstner Associates, Inc. (WJE) office in Northbrook, IL is looking for an Accounting Clerk to join our Corporate Accounting function. This entry-level position provides routine clerical accounting support and is responsible for assisting a team of accounting associates with a variety of operational tasks in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities:
- Produce and deliver invoices to clients electronically and via U.S. postal service
- Communicate with internal and external clients regularly
- Receive and account for internal draft invoices
- Audit receipts associated with employee expense reimbursements
- Provide general project accounting support, beginning with project initiation through project closeout
- Scan and file invoices and billing documents
Requirements:
- High school diploma required, Bachelor's degree preferred
- Some experience in an administrative or entry-level accounting role
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Basic computer and data entry skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, preferred
- Ability to adapt and learn quickly, with a strong customer-service orientation
- Ability to manage sensitive information confidentially
Annual starting base salary (gross): $40,000 - $55,000. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on several factors including consideration for a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.
