General Office Clerk Job Summary
The O'Brien Auto team is seeking a reliable General Clerk to perform various administrative and clerical tasks. The General Clerk will be responsible for performing a variety of clerical, accounting and administrative duties, including data entry . The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced automotive environment.
General Office Clerk Duties and Responsibilities
- Enter data into databases, spreadsheets, and other software programs
- Perform bookkeeping duties such as: maintaining data on account schedules, reconciling account statements, recording transaction in general ledgers and more.
- Maintain records and filing systems, both electronic and paper
- Ensure all documents are accurately filed and easily retrievable
- Ensure auto dealership transactions are accurately recorded in all general ledgers
- Process incoming and outgoing inter company mail
- Assist in the preparation of reports & documents
- Assist with other administrative duties as needed
General Office Clerk Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working in an office setting or automobile dealership helpful
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficient in Google and Microsoft Office
- Able to multi-task and prioritize tasks
- Able to learn quickly and use new technology
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Detail-oriented and accurate with data entry
Environmental and Physical Requirements
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
- Sitting, standing, talking, walking, hearing/listening, bending, stooping, reaching, repetitive hand motion (such as typing) are all physical requirements of the job.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs
- Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone and interact well with others.
