Financial Accounting Analyst to support Coated Recycle Board (CRB) Mills
The opportunity:
The financial analyst, based in our Battle Creek Mill, will be an integral part of the CRB mills Finance Team supporting ***'s Coated Recycle Board (CRB) mills in Battle Creek, Mi. You will be providing analytical and administrative support for Finance and mill operations by serving as the finance Analyst at the Battle Creek mill while working with the Finance Manager to support the mill. Duties will include analytics, forecasting, budgeting, month end closing reporting as well as productivity and cost improvement projects. The individual in this role must exhibit effective communication skills along with the ability to be a self-starter and work independently.
How you will impact ***:
• Examples of reporting and analysis duties include
• Working closely with finance and operations teams to coordinate, analyze and communicate information required for reporting and projects.
• Provide analytical support and help identify, track, and improve key drivers affecting performance and results.
• Analyzing mill results and provide insight on variances to budgets and forecasts.
• Assist with developing reports to provide financial understanding to mill operations.
• Assist with building standard costing models for finished goods inventory.
• Examples of routine Finance/Accounting duties
• Support the monthly close process by collecting and analyzing data required for journal entries and statistical postings.
• Assist in accounts payable reconciliations and payments for the mill.
• Preform month reconciliation and cleanup of received not vouchered (RVN) and Automated Voucher Match system (AVM) for the mill.
• Attend daily/weekly/monthly mill meetings to share financial information and provide guidance on proposed projects and initiatives.
• Perform all daily customer invoicing posting and distribution.

• Participate in required physical inventories for internal and external audits.
• Participate in the mill's productivity project activities.
What you need to succeed:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Management, or Finance preferred.
• A minimum of 2-5 years of relevant experience.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing industry preferred but not required.
• Must be self-starting/self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on completing tasks accurately and on time.
• Effective communication skills including the ability to interact with other levels of management and staff.
• Experience in SAP, JD Edwards, and Hyperion a plus.
• Must be proficient in Excel, Teams. PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office products.
