Position Summary
AleraCare, a provider of infusion treatments and specialty pharmacy services, has an exciting new opening for an Accounting Clerk, Junior, at our Van Nuys, CA. location. In this role, you will perform routine clerical, filing, and data entry tasks for accounting data including accounts payable, billing and accounts receivables. This is an hourly, part-time position, and ideal for accounting students who are seeking part-time employment and experience in a corporate environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conducts routine data entry management for accounting records including accounts payable, billing, and accounts receivable.
- Reviews billing statements, invoices, and similar documents for accuracy; alerts supervisory staff of any discrepancies.
- Distributes accounting reports as directed.
- May assist with mail distribution, answering telephones, and other clerical tasks as needed. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to accurately and efficiently enter data into computer software and systems.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Good verbal communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Bookkeeping training preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
