This position must be able to produce accurate and timely work product.
Key Responsibilities of the Accounting Clerk:
• Opens mail, dates stamps and logs invoices
• Completes end of day closings in accounting software
• Inputs codes for all payable invoices
• Computes lessons reports and investigates discrepancies
• Processes and mails weekly vendor and independent contractor check
• Files posted and paid invoices
• Reconciles credit card accounts
• Manages and reconciles petty cash
• Compiles and maintains credit applications for vendors
• Maintains vendor files
• Replenishes and orders postage for the postage machine
• Monitors, maintains, and replenishes office supplies
• Maintains licenses, leases, and contracts
• Files annual 1099 reports
• Performs other duties as required.
Membership:
• Enter new members (Social and Golf) into Accounting database. Maintains member’s records and accounts
• Post and audits charges daily to accounts from all club revenue center and records additional charges and credit to member accounts
• Monthly billing, Member statements
• Works directly with the Club Controller regarding any delinquent member accounts and appropriate next steps
• Responds to member billing inquires
• Process initiation and monthly Member payments, and credit card charges and payments
Minimum Qualifications for the Accounting Clerk:
Currently part-time 15 -20 hours a week, with additional hours as needed, along with at month-end and year end as needed.
• Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent office experience; or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Other Qualifications:
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of property management system or accounting systems.
