Job Description
There is an opening for an Accounting Clerk through Robert Half, whose duties will be matching invoices to purchase orders/ vouchers, data entry, and assisting with Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is a long-term contract / temporary to hire employment based in the Portland, Maine area. Thrive in an energetic, team-oriented environment in this position, which offers room for growth. What you get to do every day
- Support Accounts Payable: A/P invoice matching & filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing
- Organize documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes
- Assist Accounts Receivable: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance
- Compose statements and reports that require utilization of a wide collection of sources
- Account reconciliation experience preferred
- Accounts Payable (AP) experience
- Prior experience in Spreadsheet and ERP system
- Ability to multitask efficiently and prioritize work
- Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data
