Accounts Receivable Clerk

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is accountable for daily invoicing as well as ensuring timely customer payments by proactively working with the key customer contacts.  Responsibilities also include keeping records of all delinquent accounts, incomplete files and credit risks.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collect & post cash receivables
• Manage receivables by knowing status of all customers
• Call customers and arranging payment
• Place or release sales orders from credit hold as necessary
• Pull credit reports and assisting in setting up new customer terms
• Attend weekly credit meeting
• Pull daily bank details
• Run daily invoices, credits and mail
• Resolve customer disputes
• Online customer portal billing
• Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma/GED
• 3-5 years of experience in Accounts Receivable or similar
• Strong interpersonal and persuasive skills
• Ability to multi task
• Ability to work with external customers and maintain a favorable impression of Elmet

WORKING CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Standard office demands
• Typically works on a computer for most of the business day
• Routinely communicates face-to-face, via telephone and by computer
• Must be able to bend, reach and lift 10lbs to shoulder height
