Responsibilities:
- Supports the accounting function at the hotel, including the accounts payable/accounts receivable processes by ensuring that billing, invoices, and credit card statements are handled according to company policies and procedures.
- Ensure that deposits balance and all money is accounted for. Supplies money for all department banks and tills. Issuing banks and change requests.
- Bill and collect all revenue owed to the hotel in an accurate, timely manner in accordance with accounting policies and procedures
- Prepare daily reports.
- Assist with customer billing and credit card issues including research or obtaining information regarding accounts, cash transactions, or bank accounts.
- May also be involved in other accounting-related functions as assigned.
- Experience within a hotel environment and with Hilton systems a plus, including OnQ and Delphi. (Front Desk, Night Audit).
- Sound communication skills.
- Interacts with internal and external customers in a positive, professional, and accommodating manner.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to lift a reasonable weight up to 20 pounds and is able to work on weekends when required.
