Cabot’s first U.S. destination, Cabot Citrus Farms, is situated on 1,200 acres of rolling land and will include Cabot’s signature combination of world-class golf, luxury accommodations and real estate opportunities. Opening in 2023, Cabot Citrus Farms will feature two revitalized 18-hole courses, an 11-hole par-3 course, an unconventional 10-hole course, a new clubhouse and extensive practice facilities. The property is a short 50-minute drive from Tampa and an 80-minute drive from Orlando. While close to urban amenities, the property sits in the central-west region of Florida aptly known as the Nature Coast. Visitors will delight in one-of-a-kind experiences including exceptional hiking, biking and nature trails at neighboring Withlacoochee State Forest, spring-fed rivers and bountiful lakes at Crystal River, and world-class fishing in the Gulf of Mexico.Position Overview:
As Accounting Clerk at Cabot Citrus Farms, you will be joining a new and growing team. This role will mainly support the Senior Accountant, and also the Staff Accountant team. Areas of responsibility include leading the cash management function, bookkeeping, reconciling bank accounts, credit accounts, and petty cash. In addition to helping keep the books, providing assistance in AP (Accounts Payables) and AR (Accounts Receivables) support. This role will also provide some level of support to the construction team.
The Profile:Reporting to the Senior Accountant of Cabot Citrus Farms, the Accounting Clerk displays a high level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, and enthusiasm. Securing and protecting files to ensure information is never compromised and adhering to Cabot’s security procedures with respect to assigned authorities and responsibilities is exhibited by the Accounting Clerk in all daily tasks. Any unusual occurrences to be reported to the CFO immediately. The Accounting Clerk is a member of the team providing support to the operating teams to deliver on the brand’s mission to “Create Magical Places Where Remarkable Memories are Made”.

Key Responsibilities:- Complete cash management duties, such as:
- Collecting and reviewing daily cash drops by department,
- Reconciling cash drops to settlement reports and bank statements,
- Reconciling nightly credit card settlements to bank deposits,
- Completing bank withdraws,
- Assisting in float management, and
- Accounting for tips
- Expense monitoring including
- Reviewing invoices for accuracy and purchase order approval
- Coding and entering invoices into accounting system
- Manage employee credit cards and preauthorized debits
- File invoices with supporting documentation in an organized and timely fashion
- Support Accounts Payable function
- Support, with help of the Staff Accountant Resort Operations, the Accounts Receivables function
- Work with the accounting software, Microsoft Business Central, by:
- Creating cash draw journal entries,
- Preparing cash deposit journal entries, and
- Entering expenses in an accurate and timely manner, and more
- Assist with various month-end closing procedures, including bank recs, leases and loans
- Adhere to all policies, procedures, and service standards
- Complete other special projects and duties as assigned by the accounting or the construction team
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in an accounting or financial role
- Degree or diploma in Accounting or a related field
- Proven knowledge of accounting industry-leading accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Business Central) and comfortable with productivity tools such as Microsoft Office Suite
- Eagerness to always improve and optimize processes
- High level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm, and confidentiality
