1. At least 3 years of Bookkeeping experience in a US-based company;

2. At least 3 years of Quickbooks or similar software experience;

3. Have experience with bank feeds.

As a bookkeeper, you'll be primarily focused on finance and accounting tasks for several of our clients but may also do some internal work. You must be ready to work with internal and external stakeholders across a variety of disciplines and industries - and regularly juggle a number of high-priority tasks. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Record and maintain an accurate record of financial transactions 

  • Reconcile Quickbooks 

  • Deliver monthly finance reports: P P&L YoY and balance sheet 

  • Receives accounting information from internal or external sources including other Finance Department sections, other departments or divisions, other nPowered Corporations, suppliers, clients, etc. 

  • Audits invoices for appropriate support documentation. 

  • Matches information and documentation with accounting records; verifies accounts and subjobs charged for accuracy and legitimacy. 

  • Processes financial records. Prepares journals, registers, ledgers, budgets, tax reports, and client invoices. 

  • Maintains standard accounting and financial records. 

  • Inputs information into a computerized accounting system. 

  • Prepares information for use by other departments, clients, and/or suppliers. 

  • Performs financial reconciliations and/or proofs. 

  • Answers inquiries and prepares standard analyses. 

  • Maintains computerized databases for tracking and informational purposes. 

  • Provides guidance to lower-level Accounting support personnel. 

  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate. 

Once you’ve got the hang of that, you’ll... 

  • Start supporting month-end close. 

  • Take over AP/AR management. 

  • Manage bank account, bank feeds, and credit card reconciliation. 

  • Create monthly and quarterly reports for the CEO. 

Must have minimum of 3 years of the following:

  • Strong, independent work ethic 

  • Solid, real-world bookkeeping experience 

  • Basic accounting knowledge 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 

  • Strong data and analysis skills 

  • Good at following documented processes and workflows 

  • Proficient in QuickBooks Online or similar software 

Nice to have.. 

  • Experience in a portfolio of client accounts 

  • QBO Pro Advisor or similar certification  

  • Experience working with remote clients 

  • Associate's or equivalent degree in Accounting, Economics, Business (or equivalent) and related work experience preferred, or High School diploma and 5+ years relevant experience within an accounting unit. 

  • Basic PC skills including, but not limited to, MS Windows, MS Word, and MS Excel. 

  • Must have good communication skills, and be able to work as part of a team 

  • Possess a working knowledge of accounting processes.

  1. You may be asked to meet with us for a third, more focused interview, or we may skip straight to an offer – it just depends on the number of candidates we have and how things are going. 

  1. Once you accept an offer, you’ll put in your notice with your current employer, and our team will reach out to set up your orientation and get you on-boarded. 

  1. Before you know it, your first day will be here! You’ll meet the team, and get started learning the ropes.
