Accounting Assistant

Job Title: Accounting Assistant Job State: Part-Time / 20-25 hours per week

Job Description:
This role is responsible for assisting the accounting department with duties that pertain to accounts payables. The training schedule may be different than the final work schedule.
As with all positions with-in Haven it is our responsibility to be a good steward of our property owner’s interests while providing a safe and enjoyable experience for our tenants. Clear communication to both internal and external clients is a main ingredient of providing a World Class level of client services.
Areas of Responsibility:

• Report up dating as pertains to accounting responsibilities
• Perform financial accounting tasks, including preparing and analyzing financial statements, balance sheet reconciliation, and general ledger accounting.
• Conduct internal and external audits to ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
• Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Reviewing expenses (Accounts Payable) and revenue (Billings) postings for proper coding.
• Prepare annual Federal Tax Return supporting documentation.
• Perform month end and year end closing tasks including recording journal entries and reconciling GL accounts.

• Willingness to learn new program software AppFolio, Monday.com
• Good oral and written communication skills
