responsibilities:
Project Management responsibilities -
- Capital Projects
- Enter purchase order based on the approved capital projects
- Communicate open purchase order report with engineering team on a weekly basis
- Facilitate regular status meeting with essential parties to ensure transparency of project status and expectations
- Support the preparation and development of project master budgets
- Manage financial models to support the management of project spend and project status. Confirm data integrity of data being used in reports and ad hoc requests
- Manage the change order process to ensure visibility and traceability of project master budget changes
- Manage tax exemption process for large capital projects
- Partner with internal engineering team as well as vendors to obtain certificate of insurance, lien waivers and other supporting documents from vendors to prepare invoice package for capital projects
- Prepare and consolidate supporting documents for invoice package for large capital projects
- Work with Account Payable to ensure payment of the approved invoices are charged to appropriate budget code
- Update invoice and purchase order tracker weekly to track capital expenditure against budget code
- Various projects and responsibilities as assigned
Other responsibilities -
- Recommend process improvement and action plans
- Support cross functional teams to ensure timely execution of the projects
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis and administrative activities as required
- Perform other duties and participate in special projects as assigned
skills/qualifications required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 1-2 years of general accounting or finance experience preferred
- Foundational accounting knowledge and financial analysis
- Proficient in Microsoft products, database software and other applicable accounting and financial software and systems
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and deliver in a fast-paced and high-growth environment
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and switch between tasks quickly
- Ability to build collaborative relationship with cross functional internal and external teams
