Cordoba is seeking an Accountant to join our Education & Facilities Sector in the Long Beach area.
- Apply basic accounting principles related to accounts payable, including account coding and internal controls.
- Review, correct, and re-route invoices.
- Work with our third-party vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies.
- Review, correct, and re-route the A/P document. Laws and regulations related to Bond and State accounting.
- Review and analyze budget expenditure reports for state-funded facilities programs for compliance and accuracy.
- Prepare accruals for year-end closing.
- Process invoices.
- Prepares budget adjustments.
- Reconcile project expenditures in the bond financial system with the District financial system.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Finance, or a closely related field and the completion of a minimum of 21 units in accounting. (proof required)
- Knowledge of financial and managerial statement preparation and analysis, government grants, project accounting, and governmental accounting standards; experience in database programs.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proficiency in operating a personal computer, including a working knowledge of spreadsheets.
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and practices.
