Accountant

Position Summary

The accountant is responsible for supporting the Accounting Manager with oversight of LCHC's major accounting and reporting responsibilities. These responsibilities include general ledger, accounts payable, cash management, investments, accounting software, payroll, grant and contract billing, audit compliance, and reporting. Reports to the Accounting Manager.

• Requires an understanding of accounting procedures.
• Requires experience and demonstrated abilities for working in a multi-cultural setting.
• Ability to strongly embrace and personify the mission of the Lawndale Christian Health Center
• Ability to collaborate and interact with a diverse group of health care professionals.
• Ability to organize, direct, prioritize, and delegate work appropriately.
• Excellent administrative skills necessary for preparing financial, legal, and administrative tasks.
• Excellent customer service skills

Required Knowledge, Experience or Licensure/Registration

• Associate's degree in a business-related field and one (1) or more years working in a business environment, preferably with accounting experience. A bachelor's degree is preferred.
