Job Description
BASIC FUNCTIONS
The Account Representative, Pre-Award shall work with customers and/or vendors to obtain pricing and bid on government opportunities. This individual has the responsibility and authority to carry out assigned tasks.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
· Obtain pricing/quotations.
· Understand all bid elements and apply appropriate mark-up to ensure company profitability.
· Identify opportunities for negotiation.
· Familiarity with FAR/DFARs/DLADS appearing in the master solicitation and most commonly appearing in DLA solicitations.
· Analyze win/ loss information.
· Review losses and take appropriate action.
· Process and manage orders from customer request to hand-off to post-award team.
· Verify pricing for expired quotes.
· Build and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers and customers.
· Impeccable customer service.
· Field sales phone calls.
· Solid understanding of value-add proposition.
· Ability to understand and follow protocols.
· Has authority to submit bids and commit company to future sale of goods and services up to $100K.
STANDARD REQUIREMENTS
Comply with all requirements of International Standard ISO9001 and ISO27001, NIST 800-171, CMMC – Cyber Security and Informational Data Security Requirements. Aerospace Management System Standards AS9100, AS9120, IDEA-QMS-9090, ASA-100 and supporting construct standards AS6081, IDEA-STD-1010, AC7402-CAAP, CCAP-101, FAA AC00-56, ANSI/ESD S20.20. All employees shall commit and comply with the requirements of AS5553 for Counterfeit Electrical, Electronic and Electromechanical (EEE) Parts – Avoidance, Detection, Mitigation and Disposition practices.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / COMPETENCY
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite: Word & Excel, Internet and Microsoft Outlook.
· Bachelor’s Degree or 5+ years of working experience in military logistics or similar type of environment.
· Consistent, extreme attention to detail.
· Strong written & verbal communication skills.
· Strong math, reading, analytical, critical-thinking and computer skills.
· Ability to prioritize tasks and stay organized.
· Ability to meet strict deadlines.
· Independent problem solver.
