Job Description
Salary: $80,000 - 120,000/year base. Commission structure included (discussed during interview).
Reporting to the Public Sector National Sales Manager, this role primarily focuses on K-12 end users and resellers, with some attention to state and local government business. The ideal candidate possesses diverse knowledge in K-12 market trends, relevant technologies, contract awareness, and relationships with resellers. Expertise in IT and Audio Visual infrastructure, especially non-interactive and interactive hardware/software used in learning spaces, is crucial.
Responsibilities:
- Expand our presence in K-12, state, and local government markets in an assigned territory.
- Understand client needs and align them with our solutions.
- Develop focused business plans for K-12 end users, resellers, and contracts.
- Collaborate with sales teams to execute go-to-market strategies.
- Engage with partners to enhance sales success.
- Showcase our products, particularly in AV and IT hardware and software, to educators.
- Manage regional marketing, pipeline, forecasts, and inventory levels.
- Represent us at industry events.
- Maintain Salesforce database and handle administrative tasks.
- Provide competitive updates regularly.
- BA/BS or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of IT and AV sales experience, especially with education clients.
- Proficiency in AV technologies, state contracts, and RFP processes.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
- Proficiency in technical sales and presentation.
- Familiarity with CRM tools like Salesforce.
