Salary Range: $3,899 - $7,506/Monthly (Budgeted Hiring Salary Range: $3,899 - $4,800/Monthly)

Work Schedule: Full-Time, Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; non-exempt classification.

Essential Functions: Cal State LA's Center for Effective Teaching and Learning (CETL) provides faculty development programming on teaching best practices with and without the use of Academic Technology. One of CETL's objectives is to support faculty to effectively leverage active learning, Academic Technology, and/or teaching best practices to enhance teaching and learning and to ultimately increase student success. Reporting to the Associate Director of Educational Technology, CETL, and under the leadership of the Executive Director for CETL, the incumbent works in a team environment, supporting faculty and staff in their use of campus Academic Technology tools. The incumbent will assist in the day-to-day operations of CETL email, virtual, phone, and/or walk-in support services. Consults with faculty on accessibility standards as they relate to instructional materials and Learning Management System (LMS) use. Reviews online content and related course materials for accessibility compliance. The incumbent is also responsible for maintaining CETL websites and support documentation to ensure they are up-to-date and meet all accessibility requirements. Incumbent also assists with the maintenance and support of all staff and department hardware, software, and equipment, ensuring their effective use.

Required Qualifications & Experience: A bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in instructional design, instructional technology, communications, computer science, information systems OR a bachelor's degree in any field with a minimum of one year of related job experience working in an Academic Technology setting such as a lab or online classroom. Knowledge of current compliance standards related to ensuring digital content accessibility. Proficiency using learning management systems and other Academic Technology tools (e.g., Camtasia, Zoom, Respondus, Turnitin, Ally, Qualtrics, Panopto). Strong proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite and Outlook. Ability to work in a responsive team environment using excellent written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work and communicate with faculty and staff to effectively identify and efficiently meet their technology needs. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to analyze and troubleshoot hardware and software. The incumbent must have a demonstrated interest and/or ability in working in a multicultural/multiethnic environment. A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU. Desired Qualifications: Knowledge of instructional design theories and the ability to apply them to traditional, hybrid, and fully online classrooms. College teaching experience or support. Experience providing extensive user support using the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS). General understanding of WCAG 2.0 AA standards, use of accessibility tools (e.g., Ally), and/or experience with file remediation to help ensure the accessibility of digital materials.
