Major/Essential Functions
- Serve as initial point of contact for graduate students inquiring about the Interdisciplinary Studies (INDS) program.
- Participate in recruiting, admission, and enrollment related services as assigned, including New Student Orientation.
- Maintain contact with prospective and current students using all available communication and information support tools to ensure completion of an application, enrolled students’ success, and alumni connectivity.
- Perform various administrative tasks such as developing, maintaining, and updating internal databases/spreadsheets related to the INDS program, other records of graduate student activity, and organizing student success related projects.
- Provide assistance to students directly or refers the student to the appropriate contact to meet their need and/or solve their problem.
- Assist Sr. Academic Advisor with advising-related tasks as directed.
Required Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree - any field
- Familiarity with Texas Tech Graduate Programs
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong ability in oral and written communication
- Ability to organize work assignments for effective and expeditious completion
- Ability to handle callers/visitors in a calm and professional manner
- Capable of remaining on task in an area prone to frequent distractions
- Familiarity with or experience in higher education field
