POSITION PURPOSE
The School of Art + Art History + Design (SOA+AH+D) engages and educates students in essential issues of visual history and literacy, the creative process and visual communication, and innovative and socially responsible design. We work closely with leaders in the arts, academic and business communities to ensure that our students understand the role that this education will play in their future success as professionals and global citizens. SOA+AH+D has approximately 40 faculty and 23 staff members serving approximately 600 undergraduate and 60 graduate students plus more than 1,000 non-majors enrolled in our courses. We are seeking highly qualified candidates to fulfill the role of Academic Advising Program Coordinator (NE S SEIU 925 Non Supv).
The environment in the Academic Advising office is welcoming, team centered, supportive, and very fast paced. Under the general direction of an Academic Adviser and Student Services, this position works collaboratively with four academic advisers to coordinate communications, projects, events, and interactions with students, faculty, and visitors in the office of Academic Advising. The position has extensive involvement with students, staff, faculty, and the public.

The PROGRAM COORDINATOR collaborates individually and as a group with four academic advisers on a range of specific projects, events, and initiatives. This includes but is not limited to the following:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of experience in the program specialty OR equivalent education/experience.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
This is a full-time position with hours coinciding with a standard workday between 8 AM and 5 PM (earlier start and end times may be an option) five days a week. This position is primarily in-person with limited flexibility for hybrid/remote work. Must be available for special projects as assigned and able to work occasional, flexible shifts to meet the needs of the School. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
