3Rd Shift Warehouse Supervisor - Temperature Controlled Warehouse

This position will work closely with the Sr. Warehouse Manager to oversee the 3rd Shift operations of our temperature-controlled distribution center.

3rd Shift: 9:00pm – 7:30am (4/10 hour shifts) Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Employees will have Wednesday, Friday, and Saturdays off. Wednesday is occasionally used for overtime hours (some mandatory).

Applicants should be comfortable working the night shift in a growing warehouse environment. This position may include but is not limited to the following:

Responsibilities:

• Supervise the 3rd Shift team of 25 – 40 employees
• Oversees all aspects of 3rd Shift including: order fulfillment, inventory control, product flow, personnel, replenishment, put-away and equipment maintenance.
• Onboards, trains, develops and manages team of leads and associates.
• Maintain seamless warehouse operations between 1st and 3rd Shifts through clear communication.
• Ensures results by coaching, counseling and disciplining staff, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
• Motivate, teach, and hold team members accountable.
• Fosters a culture of accountability, engagement, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Ensures all orders are processed accurately and on time.
• Identifies process improvements and cost savings initiatives to improve operating efficiencies.
• Communicates issues to senior warehouse manager to ensure seamless operation and transfer of information and resolve issues affecting operations.
• Improves productivity, efficiency, accuracy and overall warehouse process management.
• Ensures consistent safety and process training of all associates.
• Know company employee handbook, standards and correct behavior with positive reinforcement.
• Creates a positive, safe and clean working environment for maintaining employee safety and morale.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of warehouse experience on the night shift in a Supervisor role
• Exceptional people-management and conflict resolution skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Experience in distribution center environment with a focus on order fulfillment
• Demonstrated improvement in cycle time, productivity and customer quality
• Ability to manage and inspire a team, set expectations, emphasize accuracy, track performance metrics, and help improve production and processes
• Ability to prioritize objectives, while also being hands-on to ensure the job is done
• Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations
• Ability to comfortably lift 50 lbs, push carts over 60 lbs and use ladders. Must be able to physically stand, reach, pull, bend, stoop and kneel for long periods of time in a warehouse environment
• Positive can-do attitude
• Must be able to operate a pallet jack and organize pallets
• Forklift experience required
• Must be local to the Dallas-Fort Worth area
• Must have a valid driver license.
• High school diploma or GED
