3D Printing Applications Engineer

Application Engineer Primary Responsibilities:

• Accurate and expedient engineering analysis and quoting of customer requests
• Reverse Engineering, ScanningDFAM and Part Design to meet customer specifications
• Production planning and tracking as needed to meet quality and on-time delivery targets.
• Expand the customer base and revenue with opportunities matching our capabilities and strategic objectives, with regular reporting of progress towards attainment.
• Develop impenetrable customer relationships by leveraging networks and cold calling the customers’ key decision-makers, engineering and manufacturing colleagues
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience requirements

• Self motivated and enthusiastic about contributing to the success of our business and our customers, with the ability to multitask and adapt to changing business and industry requirements.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Design Engineering, or similar discipline required.
• 3D CAD Modeling Software expertise, such as SolidWorks.
• Min 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing and/or design engineering, and customer-facing or sales experience. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Technical knowledge and background in manufacturing: 3D Printing, Additive Manufacturing, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Product Design, Assembly, Machining, Metal Fabrication, Part Count Reduction, and Manufacturing Aids/tooling.
• Technical knowledge in 3D laser scanning, metrology systems, and reverse engineering
