3D CAD Intern, Data Center Engineering - Summer 2024

NVIDIA's Cloud Data Centers host ground-breaking products across high-performance computing to machine learning applications for autonomous vehicles and healthcare. At the heart of our Data Centers (DCs) is the ability to engineer mechanical and electrical designs in close coupling to NVIDIA's industry-leading GPU and DGX products! We are seeking a skilled and hardworking 3D CAD Intern with expertise in crafting detailed equipment and DC drawings and play a crucial role in the design and visualization of DC infrastructure, chipping in innovative solutions.
What you'll be doing:

• Build a detailed 3D models of equipment and DCs layouts, ensuring accuracy and alignment to project specifications.
• Generate comprehensive and precise 2D drawings from 3D models, including detailed schematics, layouts, and assembly drawings of DCs components.
• Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles to ensure the accurate representation of tolerances and dimensions in CAD models and drawings.
• Incorporate Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles in the CAD design process, optimizing designs for efficient and cost-effective manufacturing.
• Contribute to the development of visually compelling presentations and renderings for DCs proposals, showcasing proposed layouts and equipment configurations.
• Perform regular checks on CAD drawings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with industry standards.

What we need to see:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer- Aided Design, or a related field
• Strong expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD & T)
• Knowledge of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles and Operational
• Experience in 3D CAD software such as Creo, Windchill, SolidWorks, and Fusion 360
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

The hourly rate for our interns is 16 USD - 88 USD. Our internship hourly rates are a standard pay determined based on the position and your location, year in school, degree, and experience.
