Job Description
Looking for a Hardware Engineering Lab Engineer who will sustain and improve a Lab environment that supports our customers. You will be a primary resolver for issues and support needs in our Lab infrastructure, able to install typical and non-standard server components and execute server and rack troubleshooting and repair.
Job Responsibilities:
- Receive new servers and components and properly rack them, getting them integrated into our client's lab infrastructure.
- Maintenance and organization of our client's server fleet, including cabling and cable management so that our racks are serviceable and organized.
- Server component and supplies inventory and organization as well as server, rack, and equipment commission and decommission.
- You will learn all aspects of the servers and test equipment you support.
- Demonstrate ability to innovate and make decisions on your own, but also know how to take direction when it is given, paying attention to all details involved.
- Familiar with basic hardware testing and able to execute manual and automated tests on the hardware.

- IT consultant experience
- MS Excel, 1 - 2 years of experience
- Linux, 1 - 2 Years of experience
- Windows, 1 - 2 Years of experience
- Encompasses lab manager mindset
- Small lab experience
- Experience with IT servers and general computer knowledge
- Ability to run on your own and ask for help when needed
- Strong L4/L5 Data Center technician
- Knowledge of IT Hardware Concepts: x86 Architecture, GPUs, motherboards, risers, SAS/SATA/NVMe, TCP/IP, network switches, BMC, BIOS, CPLD, and other component firmware
- Manage work and priorities through a ticketing system and coordinate with other members of the team to drive tasks to completion.
- Highly organized and able to keep track and prioritize a large number of concurrent activities.
- Provide creative solutions to eliminate reoccurring problems and capacity demands in the lab environment.
