Summary
The Maintenance Technician Lead leads maintenance teams responsible
to repair, troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance of corrugator/converting equipment and packaging facility. Additionally, Plan and direct mechanical maintenance work of maintenance Teams. Support the facilitation of maintenance training when developing technician subordinate positions.
Responsibilities
Follow all safety policies and safe work practices; report unsafe acts and near misses immediately.
Coordinate with Production at the beginning of each shift to identify maintenance issues that developed overnight or through the weekend
Assist Maintenance department with leading pre-shift meetings
Work with mechanics to produce work orders as issues are identified
Enter and track work orders, and verify when complete
Monitor work performed by mechanics for quality and completeness of repairs.
Provide timely feedback to Supervisors on maintenance tech performance or behavioral issues
Support Maintenance Technicians in onboarding and training for the maintenance department
Monitor work areas to verify proper storage and clean up of tools, parts and equipment
Approve subordinates’ hours worked in time and attendance system
Audit PM/completed work orders on a weekly basis
Ensure adequate housekeeping of Maintenance shop
Perform all responsibilities of a tech 5
May be assigned to other projects and duties
Qualifications
Ability to coordinate maintenance team members responsiveness to shift maintenance concerns to the Supervisor
Six years plus of Industrial Maintenance mechanic experience, including but not limited to: diagnosing and electrical troubleshooting; preventative maintenance; lockout/tagout procedures.
Six years plus of industrial electrical experience
Minimum of three years of Corrugator experience
Experience with Computer Maintenance Management system(CMMS)
Demonstrated experience delegating CMMS work orders to Maintenance team
Ability to think critically and react to changing scenarios within the maintenance department.
Some experience in executing maintenance related projects
Must be available for emergency maintenance call ins
Advance knowledge troubleshooting all A/C and D/C drives and their control systems use.
Advance knowledge and experience in ladder logix and PLC’s
Industrial electrical license and/or equivalent industrial electrical experience
Demonstrated ability to lead a team.
Two years minimum maintenance leadership experience preferred
Successfully demonstrate all Tech 5 qualifications
Must have high school diploma or GED.
Must have good working knowledge of preventative maintenance techniques, work order systems, equipment lubrication standards and industrial safety standards.
Highly motivated and able to work independently.
Provide own tools to perform maintenance tasks

$41.29 - $41.54 / hr
