POSITION: 2024 - 2025 Elementary and Secondary Special Education Teachers
(Hiring will be based on student enrollment and District need)

QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED: (Qualifications which are essential to the position)
*Valid Washington State Teaching Certificate with Special Education endorsement
*Minimum of Bachelor's Degree
*Ability to supervise and instruct paraeducators or willingness to learn
*Ability to design and implement standards-based IEPs and Behavior Intervention Plans
*Willing to participate in functional behavioral assessments
*Successful experience with a co-teaching model or commitment to participate in training
*Experience or demonstrated knowledge of implementing multi-tiered interventions for academics, behavior, and social skills
*Willingness to share with grade level partners to meet districts improvement plan
*Willingness to collaborate and work as defined by the school improvement plan
*Ability to design specially designed instruction for students with a range of disabilities to access general education curriculum
*Willingness to participate in professional learning communities as determined by the building
QUALIFICATIONS:
DESIRED: (Qualifications which are not required, but would be useful to the position)
*Bilingual/Biliterate in English/Spanish
*Previous experience in working with students with a variety of disabilities
*Previous classroom teaching experience
*Computer knowledge and literacy
*Experience teaching Elementary and/or secondary math, science and/or ELA material
*Experience working with post-secondary transition services
