Summary of Responsibilities:

During our 10-week summer internship program, beginning in June 2025 you will gain a basic understanding of the investment banking business through immersive training, participating in an array of exciting projects and initiatives.

In this program you will explore the professional world supported by two pillars: practice and teamwork.

This 2025 Summer Internship program is for undergraduate students in a four-year program who have an anticipated graduation date between December 2025 and May 2026.

Based in New York (NY), Los Angeles, or San Francisco (CA) you will become part of an international business working with teams across different geographies.

  • For NYC Job Applicants: The base hourly pay range for this position is $52.88/hr. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.

  • For California Job Applicants: The base hourly pay range for this position is $52.88/hr. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.

Santander CIB’s Summer Internship program in the US invites you to apply to join our Global Corporate & Transaction Banking team.

GlobalTransaction Banking business provides tailored banking solutions to some of the biggest and most demanding clients in the world through delivering tailor-made solutions at scale including Cash Management, Export & Agency Finance, and Trade & Working Capital Solutions.

In our Global Corporate Banking team you will work with Corporate bankers, Investment Banking client executives, as well as product and risk partners, assisting them with the development and maintenance of client relationships, delivering seamless transactional solutions as well as the right innovative market infrastructure to meet our clients’ needs. Both areas maintain relationships with large corporations, financial institutions, and public sector organizations globally to solve problems for clients and help them to grow.

Requirements:

  • An undergraduate student in a four year program with an expected graduation date between either December 2025 or May 2026.

  • Cumulative GPA is 3.5 or above.

  • Highly motivated and results oriented with a desire to exceed expectations.

  • Demonstrates intellectual curiosity and courage in their leadership style.

  • Crisp communication skills with the ability to express facts and ideas clearly both verbally and in writing, interacting professionally, transparently, and effectively with people at all levels.

  • Strong English communication skills both written and spoken required, foreign language skills are a plus.

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.

  • Strong critical thinking with the ability to develop solutions to complex challenges.

  • Ability to multi-task as required.

  • Ability to work independently on special projects.

  • Ability to effectively contribute in a team environment.

Working conditions:

  • Shifts and/or schedules may change throughout the year as dictated by management and business needs.

  • Travel to multiple facilities may be required.

  • May be required to lift, push, or pull materials weighing up to twenty (20) pounds.

  • May be required to sit and review information on a computer screen for long periods of time.

  • May require repetitive motions of the hands and wrist related to writing and typing at an electronic keyboard.

  • Corporate / satellite office role.

  • Extended working hours may be required as dictated by management and business needs.
