Why you should join our team as a Sr. RF Electrical Product Design Engineer:

We are looking for a Sr. RF / Electrical Design Engineer to lead the design, development, and implementation of new products utilizing RF circuits and structures at the discrete component level. The position works closely with Engineering management and Product line management during the design phase. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an industry leader in telecommunications and be a leader on the team.

This position is based in our Richardson, TX location. After initial training, you will be eligible to work a hybrid schedule of 3 days in office and 2 days from home per week.

Domestic travel is estimated at 10-15% and international travel at 5% to Wilson Electronics facilities globally as required.

This position has a competitive salary beginning at $145,000+ dependent upon experience plus the opportunity to receive an additional company profit-sharing bonus every 6 months. Areas of responsibilities include:

1. Responsibility to design for performance, manufacturing, cost and quality.
2. Working within the Product Development Processes (PDP) from ideation to mass production ready.
3. Setting up, calibrating, and operating RF and electrical test equipment such as Spectrum Analyzers, Power Meters, VNAs, Signal Generators, etc.
4. Demonstrating proficiency in the programs, tools, and equipment to facilitate Product Design analysis utilizing ADS, MATLAB, HFSS, FPGA tools, Xilinx hardware and software systems and more. This will require both HW and SW developments in setup and programming troubleshooting.
5. Performing System Engineering tasks for products in cross-functional team inclusive of System Analysis, System Spec, Product Spec, Electrical Design, PCB Layout, Cable management, Mechanical design, and Manufacturing Test development.
6. Developing strong knowledge of the 3GPP as it relates to our technical directions for cellular boosters and repeaters.
7. Providing design review presentations to other subject matter experts as well as less technical decision-makers.
8. Performing competitive analysis on key competitors and their products, capabilities, and technologies.
9. Participating in continuous improvement and team-building activities.
10. Maintaining productive working relationships with all team members.

This job is a great fit if you have:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, MSEE Preferred
• 10+ years of experience in RF engineering Product Design and development at the discrete component level
• Demonstration of strong RF fundamentals such as impedance matching, distributed systems, passive RLC and resonant circuits, noise, linearity, gain, power, bandwidth, and circuit stability
• Hands-on experience in RF tuning and troubleshooting of circuits and using RF instruments
• Strong problem-solving and lab debugging skills and methods
• Excellent documentation practices and technical writing skills
• Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship
