Job Description Summary
Aeroderivative Product Service Engineer (PSE) provides technical engineering support of all Aero LM customers in the Americas region (North America & Canada). Assist customers (internal and external) during Installation & Commissioning of new units and commercially operated units.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Support of installed base (LM2500, LM6000, LMS100, TM2500) including activities such as customer issue resolution, fleet issues, installation & commissioning, Remote Monitoring & Diagnostics, fleet configuration, root cause analysis. Maintenance of fleet data, outage management.
  • Developing in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy.
  • In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
  • Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance. Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
  • Off-Hour availability and some travel time may be required.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or technical degree with 3 years equivalent field experience with Aeroderivative Gas Turbines).
  • Minimum of 3 years of gas turbine engineering/ technology experience.

Desired Characteristics
  • Working knowledge of mechanical systems (fuel, water, oil, air).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Previous working experience with GE Aeroderivative Gas Turbine engine, package or controls systems.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical systems (fuel, water, oil, air) and/or electrical systems (instrumentation, wiring, motors, HV/LV systems, AC/DC systems).
  • Ability to read technical drawings (fabrication drawings, P&ID, schematics, etc.).
  • Experience leading projects involving multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Comfort with interacting with customers in person answering technical questions.
  • Demonstrated team player.
  • Creative, out-side-the-box thinker.
  • Proven interpersonal skills.
  • Self-starter.
  • Commercial sensitivity with a focus on customer needs.

The salary range for this position is 86,800.00 - 130,200.00 USD Annual. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a 10% performance bonus.
