Overview
The UX Manager plays a critical role in leading and overseeing the User Experience of a product from conception to post-launch in partnership with product management, engineering, sales, and marketing. In this highly technical and user-oriented position, you are expected to adopt the continuous discovery process to identify the most impactful new product development projects and deliver solutions with the best User Experience to ensure ZYGO’s growth.
Responsibilities
- Oversee delivery of software releases in collaboration with Software Engineering, Digital Marketing, and Applications Engineering.
- Lead and oversee the User Experience of a product from conception to post-launch in partnership with product management, engineering, sales, and marketing.
- Articulate a Product Vision to provide customers with the best User Experience of ZYGO solutions and collaborate with colleagues to define and accomplish supporting Product Outcomes.
- Foster the Continuous Discovery mind-set internally to ensure ZYGO’s transition to a market driven and customer centric organization.
- Promote and facilitate Continuous Discovery activities throughout the organization to develop and market new high impact products.
- Communicate high-value opportunities and product outcomes to the team to inspire user-centric solutions benefitting from everyone’s insights.
- Participate in technology and competitive assessments.
- Document the user-centric value of upcoming solutions to guide Sales & Marketing efforts and uncover adjacent opportunities.
- Conduct customer interviews on a steady cadence.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in engineering, science, or physics.
- 5+ years of work experience at B2B equipment manufacture as a Product Manager, customer facing technical role, or engineering positions related to UX/UI.
- Experience in metrology is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to keep detailed, up-to-date records, clearly and succinctly communicate complex technical information, self-manage responsibilities, and work collaboratively with a team.
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English as well as presentation skills.
- Basic computer skills (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Must be willing and able to travel domestically and internationally (Min 30%).
