Job description

Position Summary: 
Conair, the esteemed market leader in the Garment Care category, is seeking a dynamic Associate Product Manager to join our innovative team. As the Associate Product Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the development and execution of strategic initiatives to enhance our product portfolio and maintain our leadership position in the market. 
 
Key responsibilities include: 
New Product/Project Management Coordination: 
  • Assist the Senior Director of Marketing in all new product projects, including issuing documentation and following up on project updates.
  • Liaise with offices in Hong Kong and China, as well as factory and engineering teams, regarding new product development.
  • Coordinate with Design, Engineering, and Merchandising teams for concept requests, samples, and testing.
  • Manage legal requests related to trademark submissions and patent applications.
Marketing/Sales/Logistical Support: 
  • Prepare for sales meetings by providing product presentations, competitive information, and samples.
  • Support sales team with product setup information and updates for existing products.
  • Coordinate with pack out team for displays and special programs.
  • Assist with logistical and inventory coordination, including processing necessary forms and requests.
  • Coordinate sales sample requests and support garment category trade shows.
  • Conduct research on product, data, market trends, and competitors.
  • Support PR events, social media activities, and identify potential influencers.
Creative/Structural Design/PR/Web Support: 
  • Coordinate creative and structural design requests for packaging, displays, and collateral.
  • Support PR, media, and web requests, including providing product and packaging images.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
  • Contribute to the success of the company by leading or assisting with other projects as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field, showcasing a robust understanding of strategic business principles.
  • Proven track record of 3-5 years in progressively challenging roles, demonstrating adaptability and continual growth within the industry.
  • Proficiency in project management, spanning new product development, innovation, and packaging strategies, with a focus on detail and creativity.
  • Strong grasp of design principles and experience in overseeing profit and loss statements, ensuring a comprehensive comprehension of financial dynamics within product management.
  • Demonstrated expertise in strategic marketing endeavors, including influencer engagement, social media campaigns, and digital marketing strategies, illustrating a forward-thinking approach to brand elevation.
  • Sound proficiency in forecasting and projections, demonstrating analytical prowess and the ability to anticipate market trends and consumer behaviors with precision.
  • Mastery of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, facilitating effective communication, data analysis, and presentation of strategic insights.
 
Environmental Factors: 
  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to use a computer keyboard and view a monitor for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to travel domestically and internationally for business (% if needed)
