JOB SUMMARY:
The Youth Services Director performs a variety of tasks related to overseeing LPP’s youth-based programming. As a new role to Lakeside, this person will exercise innovation, creativity, and drive to expand our mission in the community.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee all aspects of staff and Youth Programming.
- As new programs, this person will need to lead new teams in areas Lakeside has not historically gone. This will need to occur with regular communication and collaboration with LPP Leaders, department team members, County-Led Children’s Long Term Support – Family Support Teams, and the area school districts
- Host presentations and complete marketing strategies to build youth service programs
- Be present at intakes and determine eligibility of youth to be in program
- Complete timely, annual reviews for all staff with the Youth Services Department.
- Develop a formal youth expansion plan in conjunction with the LPP COO to ensure programming grows while maintaining high quality and integrity.
- Track attendance, assist Billing Specialist with any information to accurately
- Actively participate in regular LPP Leader Meetings.
- Collaborate with Community Services Director in programming that youth may be co-enrolled in
- This position will have a significant amount of collaboration with other departments, so operating with respect and dignity is required.
- Attend meetings and conferences as directed/ be able to meet all of the training requirements whether in house or set forth by funding sources. These will be done within the required timeframes.
- Continued research and learning to improve knowledge and skills
- Carry out special assignments when assigned
- Conduct oneself as a mature, responsible role model
- Maintain a friendly and positive attitude throughout the day
- Assist associates in matters of social/work etiquette
REQUIREMENTS:
- Attend meetings and conferences as directed/ be able to meet all of the training requirements whether in house or set forth by funding sources. These will be done within the required timeframes.

- Carry out special assignments when assigned
- Conduct oneself as a mature, responsible role model
- Ability to have flexibility with hours with the possibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- At least 2 years of experience working with people with disabilities
- Have a strong working knowledge of computer operation
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of physical and mental impairments which affect a person’s ability to be independent, productive, and socially appropriate
- Strong organizational skills and ability to use time effectively
