Youth Development Operations Director

The YMCA of Greater Richmond is seeking a full-time motivated, cause-driven Operations Director to provide leadership to the YMCA's Youth Development department.

DUTIES

The Operations Director will oversee multiple programs, planning, and administration for the YMCA's before/after school and camp programs, ensuring program quality, and modeling and maintaining a positive regional culture. Responsibilities include:

1. Ensure licensing compliance for assigned sites, and maintain a system of records to meet requirements.
2. Supervise 4-5 Regional Directors, including hiring, training, scheduling, monitoring, evaluating, providing feedback, leading meetings, and ensuring that required certifications are maintained.
3. Visit sites often to assess quality, record, and report on progress.
4. Lead sites in collecting required data.
5. Provide guidance Regional Director who oversees counselors and other part-time staff, disseminating best practices and providing ongoing coaching and mentoring.
6. Develop and foster relationships with the administration for current school sites and potential new sites.
7. Develop and manage budget, including timely and accurate forecasting and analysis.

QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants should have a commitment to the YMCA mission, and experience building relationships with diverse community stakeholders. At least three years of experience managing a Youth Development program and full time staff is required. A bachelor's degree in a related field is strongly preferred. Experience working in diverse communities is necessary. Credentials must satisfy VA licensing requirements for site supervision. Strong oral and written communication skills are essential, as well as excellent organizational technology abilities are required. English/Spanish bilingual oral communication skills are preferred.

Salary: $60,000-$64,000 with excellent benefits including medical, dental, vision, and a free YMCA family membership and access to free Y programs.
