Job Title: Yoga Instructor - Vinyasa-Based Heated Yoga & Sculpt

About Us: We are a NEW yoga studio in downtown Durham. We plan to create a dynamic and community-driven yoga studio committed to fostering holistic well-being. We are currently seeking passionate Yoga Instructors to join our team and contribute to our mission of changing lives through empowering, energizing, and FUN classes.

- In-depth knowledge of yoga techniques and material, with a focus on safe asana cueing

- A personal commitment to maintaining a polished appearance and a pleasant aroma, creating a positive environment for our community
- Strong verbal skills (bi-lingual is a plus)
Job Responsibilities:
- Arrive at the studio a minimum of 15-30 minutes prior to class start time
- Establish a personal connection with each student
- Craft a class experience that showcases your personailty while adhering to our standards for each class type
- Set up the classroom appropriately, including props, mat spacing, music, and lighting
- Provide top-notch class instruction, emphasizing safety and technique
- Follow up with students after class
- Maintain cleanliness in the studio space
- Actively contribute to building community and connection among students and the studio team
Class Preparation:
- Dedicate time to creative class sequencing, ensuring each class is unique and engaging
- Curate playlists that complement the energy and flow of each class, adding a dynamic element to the overall experience
- Regularly review and update class plans to keep content fresh and exciting
- Embrace class prep time as an opportunity for personal and professional growth, exploring new sequences and themes to enhance the student experience
Compensation:
- Competitive pay: Above industry standard pay scale between $35-50 per class depending on experience
- Commission incentives based on class popularity
- Hourly rate for meetings, member service responsibilities (if needed), and continued education training
Position Requirements:
- Minimum 200-hour Yoga Alliance Certification (RYT-200)
- Current CPR Certification
- Safety based teaching approach
- Commitment to personal appearance and maintaining a positive environment
- Passion for creative class sequencing and playlist curation
- Strong verbal skills (bi-lingual is a plus)
