Yard Worker

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Yard Worker to join our team. As a Yard Worker, you will be responsible for performing various duties related to materials handling, shipping and receiving, and warehouse management. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Duties:

- Operate forklifts, and other equipment to move materials within the yard

- Load and unload trucks using appropriate equipment

- Assist with inventory management by organizing and maintaining stock in the yard

- Receive incoming shipments and verify their accuracy

- Perform general maintenance tasks such as cleaning and organizing the yard

- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and safe work environment

- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and other team members to ensure efficient operations

Requirements:

- Prior experience operating forklifts or other relevant equipment a plus

- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately follow instructions

- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks

- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively

- Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to warehouse operations is a plus

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
