SalaryDuties/Responsibilities:
- Checks to ensure that the clinics records for patients include all information required for insurance reimbursement.
- Verifies correct coding to ensure prompt payment.
- Inputs correct billing information and transmits electronically to the insurance carrier.
- Consults with claim clerks in the insurance office about any disputed claims and follows up on all bills not processed within usual claim period.
- Reviews remittance advice forms to determine any adjustments made to bills as submitted and consults with the insurance office.
Skills/Abilities:
- Must have verbal communication skills and hearing ability to discuss billing with medical staff, patients, and insurance staff.
- Must have great phone interaction skills.
Education and Experience:
- Two years of experience in clerical/office support work and/or education at the high school or post-high school level in English, spelling, keyboarding, computers, business, or office practices.
- At least one year experience dealing with workers comps preferred.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
