POSITION SUMMARY
The Concierge Agent is a motivated service professional with attention to detail whose goal is to provide the highest level of guest satisfaction to Stratton's lodging guests. This position ensures that guests' needs and expectations are met before and during their stay at Stratton by facilitating requests including dining, childcare, and on-hill activity reservations and coordination. This is a winter seasonal part time position. This role will primarily work Friday through Sunday evenings. The pay for this position is $20.00/hour.
Essential Job Functions
- Provide an elevated level of customer service to lodging guests and owners staying in Stratton lodging
- Receive requests for and deliver guest reservations for amenities during their stay
- Communicate resort information regarding lodging and vacation services over the phone, via email and in person
- Set up guest/owner itineraries prior to arrival
- In charge of stocking, cleaning, and organizing coffee & muffin station for guests
- Fulfill special requests such as gift bags, birthday cakes, flowers, wine, baskets, etc.
- Special projects as assigned by manager
- Track office and breakfast supply inventory and report to manager for ordering
- Order flowers weekly for concierge desk
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required
Experience: Previous experience in an office or hospitality role is preferred, but not required
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to provide first class customer service to guest/owners
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must working competency with the Microsoft Office suite of programs
- Must have a courteous demeanor and positive presentation
- Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position at least 20 pounds occasionally. Must be able to move coffee urn when required.
- An outgoing personality is necessary, with a proven history of resourcefulness, problem solving, patience, and expediency for customer needs
- Highly dependable and responsible for the department working policies and for their office teammates
- Must have a proven and practiced guest service mentality
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
This position may require you to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds on a regular and continuing basis.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals.
- Talking and hearing occur continuously in communicating with guests, supervisors, and other employees.
- Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment including but not limited to nonslip footwear and gloves.
