Primary purpose: This position will be responsible for addressing Window Service-related issues and serve as a backup in various office tasks/positions. This person would likely work in a permanent service or office staff position.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Cross Training: Cross-train in estimating, ordering, and receiving to provide backup support as needed.
• Service Duties: Perform service-related duties, including job site visits to install screens, new glass, and hardware, and address installation issues.
• Window Deliveries: Assist with window deliveries if required, including unloading window trucks and participating in the receiving process.
• Customer Interaction: Interact with customers and teammates in a friendly, helpful manner.
• Adherence to Policies: Follow all Franklin Building Supply policies and procedures.
• Safety and Professionalism: Always work safely and professionally.
• Support Company Values: Support Franklin’s vision, mission, values, and culture, including safety, lean principles, and prioritizing employees.
• Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.

Required:

• Versatility: Comfortable working inside at a desk and outside in the elements as needed.
• Focus and Organization: Can focus on a task in an environment with many distractions, and is detail-oriented and organized.
• Structural Understanding: Some understanding of the components associated with the structure of a home.
• Spatial Visualization: Ability to look at a 2-dimensional drawing and visualize the 3-dimensional structure.
• Time Management: Capable of managing time effectively to complete tasks quickly and productively.
• Problem-Solving: Recognize problems and assist in suggesting and executing solutions.
• Communication Skills: Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Task Prioritization: Ability to prioritize tasks, be patient with distractions, and manage time effectively.
• Versatility and Following Directions: Willing to be versatile, understand, and follow directions.
• Receiving Assistance: Must be able to assist in receiving windows.

Strongly Preferred:

• Blueprint Understanding: Basic understanding of blueprints.
• Building Industry Experience: Past involvement in the building industry.
• Window Background: A background in windows is preferred.
• Bilingual Skills: Bilingual abilities would be a plus but are not necessary.
