Job Summary
The Environmental Technician will be primarily responsible for spill response (spot cleanup) with soil sampling and incipient fire response. This position will also Administrates data gathering, compliance related recordkeeping, data quality assurance, auditing, and other field compliance verification activities.
Responsibilities
• Maintains systematic processes to manage critical compliance data.
• Collaborates with other functions to develop and maintain user friendly systems for information gathering/sharing.

• Conducts field work such as spill cleanup and soil/waste sampling.
• Confirms equipment identification and location and participates in other field environmental activities such as release observations/oversight in developing experience.
• Provides more technical/functional support than administrative support.
• Demonstrates a working knowledge of technology, applications, terminology, and procedures required of job function.
• Performs varied and more complex tasks. Makes decisions within broad parameters.
Required Qualifications
• 3 years of previous work experience in a similar role
• 3 years of north slope experience
Willow Project Overview
Located on Alaska's North Slope in the National Petroleum Reserve (NPR-A), the Willow project is estimated to produce 180,000 barrels of oil per day at its peak.
The economic impact of the Willow project will be sizable. According to the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) estimates, Willow could generate between $8 billion and $17 billion in new revenue for the federal government, the state of Alaska, the North Slope Borough, and local communities. The initial phase of Willow development will include a new Willow Central Processing Facility (WCF), three drill sites, pipelines, roads, bridges and supporting infrastructure.

Willow will be a greenfield design including all processing facilities, utilities, drilling equipment, camp, and power generation.
