A Wholesale Development Coordinator plays a pivotal role in facilitating connections with external companies, exploring potential business opportunities, and presenting products for consideration in retail stores. Key Responsibilities:
Relationship Building:
- Find the appropriate purchaser or contact to ensure that communication is directed to the right individual.
- Establish and nurture relationships with external companies, and key contacts.
- Collaborate with various teams within the company to ensure a cohesive approach to partnerships.
Product Pitching:
- Visit local retail stores to make an informed presentation.
- Develop compelling sales presentations to effectively communicate the value of the company's products.
- Tailor pitches to address specific partner needs and preferences.
Negotiation and Agreements:
- Collaborate with external partners to negotiate terms and agreements, including pricing, placement, and marketing strategies.
- Assist in drafting contracts to safeguard all parties' interests.
- Gather required documentation needed to open an account.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, partner interactions, and market trends.
- Provide regular updates and reports to the management team on partnership progress and outcomes.
Product Knowledge:
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor products, and the company's offerings.
- Develop a good understanding of the company's products to effectively communicate their value to external partners.
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Preferably prior experience in business development, sales, or a related role.
- Ability to easily grasp the company's industry, products, and target audience.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Willingness to travel and attend external partner meetings as required.
