We are now in a period where we are expanding the company and are seeking an Electronics Engineer to come on board in Detroit and collaborate in our R&D Team. This job requires a combination of excellent electronic skills, mechatronics skills, an understanding of embedded software, and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
What you will do at Wheel.me...
- Collaborate with the electronics team to design electronic circuits, including digital and analog circuitry
- Build prototypes in the lab, soldering, breadboarding, etc.
- Support production troubleshooting damaged PCBs, batteries, PCB repair, and incoming inspection support
- Verify, upgrade, and maintain existing PCB designs
- Update BOM
- Document requirements, functionalities, verification, and test plans
- Manage relation with EMS, including manufacturing documentation and project plan
- Show initiative and keep up with Electronic advancements
- Work in multidisciplinary and internatioanl teams (electrical, mechanical, software, manufacturing, and test)
- Develop verification protocols, test plans, test reports, and manufacturing documentation
- Observe existing processes and make recommendations for improvement
If you're a person who thinks this sounds exciting, then we believe you...
- Have 2-5 years of experience in electronics design
- Have a Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineerings or a related technical field
- Operate with strong analytical capability and GRIT
- Have a working knowledge of EE CAD tools such as Altium
- Are knowledgeable in electronics design, including electronic control units, power electronics, motor controllers, IEC regulations, and EMI/EMC
- Are experienced with QA and certification processes
- Have an understanding of embedded software development
- Thrive in a fast-paced development environment
- Are confident in communicating with stakeholders at all levels
- Have the ability to adapt to changes and learn new industries
It would also be nice if you have...
- A Master's degree in Electronics, Engineering, or a related technical field
- Experience in the robotics industry
- Experience in field, troubleshooting, or customer support areas
