DESCRIPTION

Under direct supervision, responsible for providing support of a project through its life cycle and subsequent support to Project Managers. Other major responsibility includes gaining an understanding of and providing project analytics.

Coordinate completion of project setups with the Project Manager to ensure that the project is in accordance with the terms of the contract and MBI Approval Authority Policy. Responsible for reviewing the contract and understanding the contract terms regarding project type, scope of work and invoicing terms.

Responsible for project maintenance within Oracle and budget/funding updates as needed.

Under direct supervision, provide monthly reporting comments to the Regional Project Accounting Manager on projects that meet exception reporting and projects marked as significant for unbilled and unearned revenue.

Gain a working knowledge of the financial components of a project in an effort to understand how to effectively monitor weekly and monthly project performance and provide comments regarding the financial status of projects. Notify Regional Project Accounting Manager of projects in need of corrective action plans.

Participate in project performance reviews as needed.

Under direct supervision, provide support and assist with requests from the Project Managers. These requests may include financial information for proposals, price estimates throughout the life cycle of the project, annual budget process support, audit requests (external and/or client) or special projects as requested by the Business Management Team

Supporting project managers with collections as needed.

Gain a working knowledge of the monthly invoicing process in an effort to facilitate the delinquent/stagnate invoices and working with the Project Manager to bring the invoice from draft to final stage.

Under direct supervision, work with the Project Managers to ensure project revenue is recognized in accordance with company policies.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• 0-3 years experience within accounting, finance or similar role
• Bachelor's degree required in Accounting or Finance
• Must have effective oral and written communication skills.
• Required beginner level knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Preferred experience with Oracle Project Accounting Modules-Beginner Level (or equivalent ERP system).

COMPENSATION
The salary range for this position is $65,000-90,000. This will be dependent on the experience and expertise of the incoming candidate.
