Job Summary
Job Summary:
The Wellness Manager is responsible for the management and day-to-day operations of the department’s development of long-term directions, and support of the lounge's vision, mission, and values; including profitable financial management, effective leadership, excellent customer service skills, and supervision of department requirements and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting with the screening and selection of all qualified spa candidates, communicating performance expectations, providing associates with ongoing feedback, mentoring, and conducting official performance reviews.
Providing associates with coaching and counseling as needed to achieve performance objectives and reach their fullest potential.
Overseeing operations in spa, including sleep and lounge areas.
Developing and monitoring financial strategies to increase revenues while controlling operating expenses, monitoring annual budget and forecasts, reviewing monthly financial statements, utilizing yield management strategies, implementing inventory management and purchasing procedures, as well as monitoring and adjusting staffing levels, spa service appointments and operational expenses, to maximize spa profitability.
Developing and enforcing standard operating systems. Coordinating new hires and continuing training programs and ensuring the facility is maintained to luxury spa standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
3-5 years of spa management experience in a luxury hotel or resort environment required, with a strong emphasis on customer service.
Must possess strong business and organizational skills as well as creative energies and the ability to motivate and inspire a talented and diverse spa team.
Exceptional skills in running a large spa operation in a seasonal environment.
Creating a supportive and nurturing environment that consistently delivers a spa experience that exceeds guests' and Associates' expectations.
