Summary of the Role
Processes products to meet customer and industry requirements. The Welder performs skilled TIG welding work in the fabrication and repair of metal hoses. Candidates must have knowledge of tools, materials, and practices of the welding trades and knowledge of hose and fittings, and can work at least 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Must maintain 100% commitment to safety policies and procedures
- Reads and interprets blueprints and bills of material.
- Verifies orders for correct quantity and hose length
- Performs inspection for correct hose and appropriate fittings
- Determines correct alloy to be applied to all welds
- Performs skilled welding following standardized procedure for AMP and RPM
- Learns job related material primarily through verbal instruction and observation
- Visually inspects completed welds to determine compliance with standards and checks quality and appearance of finished hose
- Makes appropriate repairs to assemblies that do not meet standards
- Maintains daily production logs
- Works safely and is concerned for the safety of coworkers.
- Works cooperatively in a team environment to provide a quality product
- Reacts to change productively and handles other essential tasks as assigned
- Assists all division associates to ensure customer satisfaction
- Communicates general and quality-related concerns to management
- Performs basic operations within company operating systems
- Performs additional duties as assigned
- Complies with the employee handbook and company policies governing associate conduct

Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Basic welding experience required, TIG preferred
- Manufacturing experience preferred, but not required
- Must have knowledge of standard tools, materials, and practices of welding trades
