Duties and Responsibilities
Attend all related training courses at school of our choosing
Structural Welding, Residential/ Building/ Contruction welding
Weld metal components together with brazing and a variety of arc and gas welding equipment to fabricate or repair products such as machine parts, plant equipment, structures, motors, and generators by performing the following duties.
Arc welding (stick), MIG, TIG, air-arc, oxygen-acetylene torch, pipe fabrication, valves, flanges, angle iron, flat stock, structural steel, pressure vessels, steam lines, 150# and 300# installations, etc.
Welds metal parts together using both gas welding or brazing and any combination of arc welding processes.
Performs related tasks such as thermal cutting and grinding.
Repairs broken or cracked parts, fills holes, and increases the size of metal parts.
Positions and clamps together componenets of fabricated metal producfts preparatory to welding.
Lay out pipe installations, valves, flanges, etc. for neatness and functionality.
Desired Skilss, Qualifications & Experience
Valid Driver's License
Dedicated to learning the trade and willing to put in time and effort to gain knowledge and experience.
Able to balance and maintain a work schedule and school course load.

Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear, to sir and use hands to finger, handle, or feel; stand, walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; climb ladders; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weahter conditions; extreme cold; extreme heat and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to moderately loud.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include correctable vision to complete work in a safe manner.
Apprenticeship Requirements
Complete a minimum of 8,000 hours of on-the-job training.
Complete a minimum of 576 hours of related technical instruction.
