  Overview:

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, a Welder/Fabricator is an entry level position responsible for manufacturing, fabricating, and MIG welding of sheet and steel components through the interpretation of blueprints under the direction of the shift supervisor. It is essential the  Welder /Fabricator promote a safe and efficient work environment while embracing a continuous improvement culture.

Essentialduties include, but are not limited to:

• MIG welding steel components in accordance with weld procedures, techniques, and guidelines.
• Cutting, grinding, drilling, and shaping steel material.
• Interpreting blueprints to layout, measure, mark and assemble products.
• Fastening, mounting, and assembling of small steel structures according to blueprints.
• Assist co-workers and the department supervisor in meeting production targets.
• Maintain a healthy and safe working environment.
• Take on other duties as needed to help company meet goals.

 Possible other duties include, but not limited to:

• Operating machinery such as ironworkers and saws.
• Moving materials through the operation of cranes, forklifts and/or pallet jacks.

 Ideal Candidate:

• 2 or more years of experience MIG welding and fabrication in structural steel.
• Ability to read and work from blueprints
• Ability to read tape measure up to 16ths.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently
• Be able to lift and carry objects (up to 50 pounds)
