Job Summary
- Install and fit different types of piping including stainless steel, black iron, aluminum and copper
- Use computer-aided software to manage workload/daily schedules and charge time/materials for projects
- Travel occasionally to branch plants for installations
- Perform well with minimum supervision delivering high quality results in a timely manner
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Demonstrated experience and abilities in trade; MIG/TIG welding experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Demonstrated proficiency in shop mathematics
- Skill or ability to read, follow and build from drawings
- Good planning and organizational skills with an aptitude for project leadership
- Team player with excellent listening and communication skills
- Record of personal safety
- Willingness and ability to travel to other McKee plants and facilities with overtime, other shifts and weekends as required
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- LTO License or ability to acquire one
- Valid driver's license and good driving record to operate a company vehicle (Applicants who are interviewed will need to bring an MVR, unless they are already currently approved to drive a company vehicle)
- Willingness to work within McKee Foods' guiding values, goals and objectives
Preferred Qualifications
- Have knowledge and able to perform drafting skills with AutoCAD and or Solid Works.
- On-the-job training and/or equivalent vocational-technical training
- Good Computer knowledge and associated skills
- Experience working in a plant food-processing environment; pipe fitting and welding experience in food grade pipe
- Experience with crane rigging and setting heavy equipment
- Proficient MIG/TIG/STICK welding skills
- Interest in continual personal growth and development
