What’s the position?
DevOps engineers are part of our quickly growing product and technology team in Austin, TX.
As a Senior DevOps engineer, you will:
- Work closely with the development and product teams to support all stages of the software development lifecycle, from code development all the way to production deployment.
- Lead efforts to design and improve tooling to deploy code and manage our production platform.
- Collaborate with our SRE and NOC teams to improve our platform reliability and streamline production operations.
- Assist SRE and NOC teams in managing the platform.
- Contribute to architectural discussions as we continue to define and build the future of our platform.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for a Senior DevOps engineer to join our TechOps organization and help drive our platform and supporting technology forward. As part of the DevOps team, you will be responsible for accelerating delivery of product features and improvements, as well as building tools to increase consistency and stability of our product.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience (3+ years).
- Experience delivering code in an active, high-availability production environment.
- Infrastructure orchestration with Terraform.
- Experience managing version control platforms (Git or similar) and leveraging advanced functionality to enforce security and quality.
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines in TeamCity (or similar), experience with self-managing build agents preferred.
- Extensive experience managing Java micro services running in a Kubernetes environment.
- Experience with building and managing distributed systems in a cloud environment (AWS or similar).
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal), positive attitude, and ability to receive constructive feedback.
