SalaryFairview Wedding & Events is looking to add that next superstar to our team! We now have eight locations in California and are growing! We are searching for a full-time Wedding and Event Coordinator to join Fairview Laguna Seca in Monterey. This location recently completed a full banquet room renovation and completed a brand new Ceremony site.
Job Description:
- Support the Sales office in contract and coordination efforts
- Support the coordination efforts of the sales office and operations team during events
- Providing a consultative sales approach, allowing brides and grooms the opportunity to plan a uniquely perfect day to meet their dreams.
- Guide prospective clients on a property tour and answering questions.
- Write contracts and proposals following solicitation of customers to formally document oral agreements and terms.
- Maintain communication with clients in-order to ensure that signed contracts, deposits and any other pertinent information is received and handled in a timely manner.
Candidate we are looking for will have:
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- A genuine interest in weddings and planning a unique wedding day.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Good knowledge about event management.
- Has high computer literacy to use PC (MS Word, Excel, required) We use Salesforce software.
- Experience in a similar sales or service position preferred
- Strong planning and organizational skills to effectively coordinate and manage all size events.
Total Compensation: $55,000 - $62,000 per year (estimated)
- $19-$22 per hour (depending on experience)
- Average of 2-5 hours of overtime per week
- $8,000 - $12,000 commission potential
