We’re looking to expand our team with the addition of a web designer who can also double as an email design/production specialist. This individual will work with the team to design new websites; update existing websites; troubleshoot website errors/issues; monitor and maintain our web development environments, as well as design and produce email marketing campaigns.
You might be new to marketing but have the potential to learn and pick up ideas and concepts very quickly. The ideal candidate is driven, eager, and looking to gain experience on a great team. Collaboration with creative, strategy, content, and account service teams will be a normal course of your daily routine as we all work closely together. As a web designer, we anticipate 4 plus years of applicable web design experience. Agency and/or digital marketing experience is a plus!
Job Requirements
This role includes website projects from concept to reality, so both design and coding experience is important. Similarly, we work with a variety of email marketing platforms and this role will assist in the design and deployment of email marketing campaigns including newsletters and promotional campaigns with both minimal and high levels of creative design.
We’re looking for someone with strategic and critical thinking skills, a problem-solution approach, integrity, and common sense.
Special consideration will be made for candidates who have proven web layout experience, a portfolio of websites and emails they have implemented and an understanding of the current state of search engine optimization.
Qualifications:
- Ability to design and build pages within Wordpress, and a high degree of comfort working with page templates and page builders, plugins and experience integrating 3rd-party software, pixels and tags.
- Skilled at creating executable, functional web layouts and working with clients and the internal account service team to develop websites that adhere to client brand standards.
- Able to recommend and incorporate best practices on user experience design for both mobile and desktop layouts.
- Experience converting designs into coded emails with an appropriate mix of text and images, designed to adapt to a variety of screen sizes, browsers and email clients.
- Proficient using Adobe XD and Photoshop. Experience using Adobe Creative Suite a plus. Knowledge of other website interfaces also a plus.
- Ability to professionally communicate in writing, in person, phone, emails, reports/write-ups, cross-functionally, presentations, etc.
- Knowledge of digital marketing strategies and how they relate to website and email design.
- Bachelor’s degree in digital media, media production, website design, communications, or related field; or commensurate web design experience.
- At least 3-5 years working with websites, emails, SEO projects and web analytics.
Required Skills
- Proficient in Photoshop, Adobe XD, CSS, HTML
- Extensive experience with WordPress and Mailchimp (and/or other email marketing platforms)
- Knowledge of managing web hosting servers and environments
- Knowledge in website best practices and accessibility standards
- Ability to work both independently and with other team members
- Ability to work on multiple projects at once
- Troubleshooting skills and relating details in layman’s terms
- Willing and eager to learn
Bonus Skills
- Experience or familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite

Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
